Who Would You Be?
If there’s one thing that being an athlete my whole life (and a Barber) has taught me- it’s to live a life you love. Spend your days doing what you love…. and do it with who you love.
Showing up to the field everyday, with a dozen of your favorite humans next to you— teaches you that. And I have to say, I’ve become a little bit stubborn about it. In all honesty, I know no different (k correction: I don't want to know differently- aka stubborn).
I guess I just believe that we have been put here for a reason… for a purpose... and I have this feeling that whatever that purpose is- it’s supposed to feel good.
It’s supposed to feel like Home.
It’s supposed to feel like a whole lotta Love.
It’s supposed to feel like ME.
Post-college years is prime real-estate for a whole lot of shame, feeling like you aren’t living up to the rest of the world and full of a lot of blank pages to write your “should-book” on— “I should be here, I should be there, should be doing this by now, life should look like this.” And I guess the only response I have to that are the words that've been on my background for the last 10 months:
“Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is- His good, pleasing and perfect will.”
Romans 12:2
Pause. Tune in and feel. If the rest of the world wasn't here……. who would you be?
