Why Your Life Demands Your Engagement
Life is like the human body.
If you do not work the muscles of life—your hobbies, relationships, exploration, curiosity— like your body, it will become depleted. There will be atrophy. And you will experience pain.
If your body is not strong and able and capable, to keep you functioning at your best… what is its purpose? What is it living for?
Working your life muscles gives you just that- purpose. It gives your life a strong foundation to stand on and the ability to take on whatever comes its way. The same strong foundation we create with our bodies as athletes- so we have the strength, stability and power to take on whatever the game brings that day.
Working all your life muscles, living all the things that you love- and I mean all- creates a limitless, powerful, colorful, empowered human. If you do not live out what is on your heart… if you don’t explore and create and laugh and love- you are missing out on [your] basic human needs. And just like if you do not train your basic human need to squat down, lift things up, pull them toward you and push them away….
You will experience atrophy.
You will begin to experience pain…
& you will feel lack of purpose.
So I want you to think bigger picture. More so, with your whole heart. What area of your life are you neglecting? What area aren’t you training? Because if there’s one thing I know- it’s that the human body only gets stronger, faster, bigger, better… with engagement. With stimulus. With movement.
Life is the same way.
